Day 59 - Time for Action!

Good morning everyone. I am at work early today asking God for his help. You see, I have a couple projects to work on this morning and afternoon but something really important came up in my life.
My wife Kim and I decided to open a 501(3c) Non Profit Organization called: Time For Action!

This isn't the finished Logo yet but it's what I have right now! Mark from Alive Again is so amazingly talented and he is going to work on this more! Thanks Mark.
Our idea to open this Non Profit came from me reading ACTS 20:35 where Jesus says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Our church is located just outside Lakewood and many of our congregation teach and coach at Lakewood High School. As you may or may not know, this area has been hit hard by the recession.
During the Sunday Luau yesterday, we met a family who is in dire need. Our friend Lew has been filling me in on this family all week and it's been weighing on my heart. Long story short, after meeting with them we knew it was Time for Action.
The family consists of father and mother, and 3 children. They were living with their mother but her house got condemned and will be homeless by Thursday. The older mother got placed into a 1 bedroom house and cannot have anyone else living there because of state regulations.
We sat with the family yesterday and talked about jobs, needs and options. The father has an interview today and most likely will be hired on the spot. My friend Joe DeFalco is driving him and hour and a half away for the interview. Thanks Joe. The mother also has a per diem job but cannot get there because where they are currently placed doesn't allow for her to travel to work. Cost vs. wage doesn't make sense!
So we immediately jumped into action and found them a place to stay in Lakewood. Time for Action is helping with the security deposit and first months rent. I, as a financial advisor, will be meeting with them monthly to help them budget with their income and bills.
But there are still needs for this family! We need a car. One that can be donated or one that can be purchased at a great deal. They will be moving into an apartment starting from scratch. No beds, no plates, no anything! I have already called my good friend Jim who gets cars in from impounds from the police. He just so happens to be getting some cars in this week. He thinks he can help us out.
I am not asking for donations of money from any of you! I am asking you to think of your life and look around and look at your possessions. We at Time for Action are doing this not for us, but to Glorify God. All the glory goes to him. I wouldn't even be mentioning this on my blog if I didn't feel that there was more help out there for this family. Clothes, lamps, silverware, tables, chairs, etc. Just look around your house and everything you see is everything they need.
All donations will be tax deductible on your tax return as I can give you a receipt. So today I just ask you to pray! Pray for Time for Action to succeed in this mission, pray for this family, pray for yourselves to look at your possessions and really think if you are using them the way someone less fortunate could use them. To us they might be just possessions, to the family they might just be a life saver.
During yesterday's event at the park, this family showed up. They didn't ask for help once they just asked for prayer. And even though I knew what was going on, no on else did. And they praised Jesus through song and prayer and told Him that they trust this is HIS will and leave it up to Him. How many of us in times like these could do the same thing? AMEN? They are a family of God! They need our help! You can contact me through email if you have any questions or concerns at scottowel@aol.com.

Galatians 6:2  Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Luke 6:38  Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: Luke 12:33-34 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

SONG OF THE DAY: "IF WE EVER NEEDED YOU" (CASTING CROWNS)

I thank all of you for listening to me this morning! Please let me know if you can help in anyway!
Thanks and God Bless You!

Day 58 - Family, Fellowship & Faith!

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone is home safe from their Sunday festivities. What an amazing day we had today.
I slept in until about 7am this morning. Went to D&D for my morning coffee and sat in the backyard listening to my music and reading Matthew this morning in the Bible. Man, if you have never read to story about Jesus Christ, you are missing out. I know some people may have seen the movie The Passage of Christ but have you really read the bible to see the amazing things He did while He was on earth? If you haven't, Matthew is an easy read but very powerful. I highlighted a lot of meaningful verses from this book and forgive me for paraphrasing but I want to get a lot written in a short period of time!
I always tell Mya to walk into school and let the light of the Holy Spirit shine from her. JC said, "Nor do people light a lamp under a basket but on a stand and it gives light to the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
I always tell my kids, don't make promises you can't keep because then they become lies! JC said, "You should not swear falsely but perform to the Lord what you have sworn. Let what you say be simply yes or no, anything more comes from evil!"
I try and tell Kim all the time when she gets mad at someone to kill them with kindness or show them more love or don't let it bother you. JC said, "Do not resist the one who is evil, but if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. Give to the one who begs from you and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you. You should love you enemies and pray for those who persecute you. For if you love those who love you, what is your reward?"
We all try to practice forgiveness and lets be real, this one is really hard. But JC said, "For if you forgive others, your heavenly Father will forgive you, but if you do not forgive then your Father will not forgive you."
For a long time I've had anxiety. I even took medication for it until I really started trusting God with all my issues. And Jesus says ones of my favorite lines in the bible, "And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his life span? Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself."
And as far as how we treat other people, I try and teach my family to treat them with respect. But our man JC says it best, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them." Enter the  gate for the gate that is WIDE is easy and leads to destruction and those who enter by it may be many. For the gate is NARROW and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."

So after about an hour of taking this in my family started to wake up and started to get ready for alive Again Church at Ocean Park for service and a pig roast and a day of fellowship. But Brayden had a really bad stomach ache so Kim had to stay home with him as I took the others. We were the for about a half hour before Pastor Bill prayed for Brayden and 5 minutes later I got the text that he was feeling better and on his way with Kim.
You see, our church is something unique. We have a bunch of unique characters and my family is included. We ARE THE CHURCH! We took church to the woods today for service and for some fun afterwords. Why worship IN a church then travel all the way there? To us it doesn't make much sense! And we invited a lot of people to come join us for a fantastic day. There were many that showed up. People passing by must have seen the most diversified group ever but they new that we were different! Not how we looked, but how we acted. With kindness, with love, without judgments towards each other always willing to help someone out. This is my family. And the people I met today are also my family. I applied everything I read in Matthew today to my day today. I let the Holy Spirit shine from my body for everyone to see and gave the Glory to God. I made promises to people today that I knew I could keep. I saw people of different religions gives us some nasty stares today and I prayed for them! I wasn't anxious at all except for the Jets losing but why be anxious because it's obvious God doesn't like the Jets.....or the Giants this year either! And today I treated everyone with respect, they way I like to be treated. And because Alive Again had this amazing event today, Kim and I are able to help a family in terrible need and turn a nightmare situation into an amazing lifestyle change all because of Jesus! AMEN? Today we all entered through the narrow gate to the park and walked out a little different, filled with the Holy Spirit who leads to life! AMEN?

Then we had to leave early to watch TY's first drum recital at Freehold Music. He was amazing. He was in a group with kids older than him and some were fantastic and most Ty had already advanced passed those songs. He was a little nervous but you couldn't tell. He didn't even need to read the sheet music cuz he was ready. And when he finished he received a wonderful round of applause that would make any parent happy.

After the recital we came home and I went downstairs to watch the Jets....big waste of time! I actually fell asleep for about a half hour and woke up and didn't miss a thing. LOL. But it was an amazing day filled with amazing people and I'm overwhelmed with my families love for us and for Jesus's love for us!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: Romans 12:10-13
Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Day 57 - Writer's Block!

Happy Saturday evening everyone! I must say, I've been praying about what to write about today because my day was spent with Kim going to New Hope PA to do some shopping and walk around town for our date day / night! Since I already wrote about this the other day, I'm a little stumped today. So when I get stumped, I go to Psalms in the bible. And since it's day 57, let's take a look at what Psalm 57 says! Let me take a moment to read it and then I'll give you my thoughts!!!!
Here we go:
The key word in this passage is "Glory"! "Let your Glory be all over the earth!"
But, have you ever wondered what the glory of God really is? When we speak of God’s glory, what are we talking about? If someone were to ask you, “What is glory?” would you know how to answer?
To me, Glory means: being loaded with power, reputation, or honor. But God's Glory is different! It's all of the above with superabundance, it isn’t dependent on anyone or anything else.
God is the source of all good things. He actually shares his glory with us. When we receive HIS gifts with gratitude, when we use them to for HIS honor, when we acknowledge HIM as the source of all goodness, then we are glorifying HIM.
Psalm 72:19                 Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!
Psalm 57:11
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!

I listen to all the songs I should be listening to, I go to church, I go to prayer, I do what I believe I'm supposed to do! But is it enough? Am I doing enough for the Glory of God? Can I walk around truly saying that I am loaded with power? Have a perfect reputation? Have honor in everything I do?
I'm sure I can't! We all make mistakes. But God's Glory for us is amazing, it's perfect, it's SUPERABUNDANCE!!!
So shouldn't we show our Lord and Savior the same Glory? When we receive a gift, do we use them for HIS honor? When something amazing happens in our life do we acknowledge HIM as the reason? Are we doing enough to Glorify God?
Just something to think about for tonight. Everything we do should be for the Glory of God. And it should be done with abundance just like his Glory is for us! AMEN

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY: John 11:40
Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

SONG OF THE DAY: Might to Save by Hillsong

See you ALIVE AGAINers at the Luau tomorrow at 10:15! We are bringing DIRT DESSERT!!!

Day 56 - Lost and Found!

Good morning everyone! Been crazy busy at work this week and finally have a slow day at the office to get some projects done! I woke up early again today, even though I could've slept in late but took a shower and headed off to work. Mya was at the bus stop waiting for her bus so I stopped and invited her to breakfast and then I would drop her off at school. She was hesitant because her friend Matt would be left alone on the bus but he was sick and couldn't go to school today. So off to the diner we went, talking the whole time. Had an amazing breakfast with my daughter, talked about God, talked about school, talked about life! Dropped her off at school and just spending that little extra time with her has made my day when she asked if we could do this once a week! As she was leaving the car she said "OOOPS" and leaned back in to kiss me and say I love you dad! (melt)
I've been spending alot of time at work this past week and with the kids when I got home. For the first 50 nights I would spend time with my wife outside on the deck  talking about our day, our worries, our problems, our love, our EVERYTHING! And it has been amazing. This past week lift got in the way and I was so worried about being there for the kids I forgot to be there for my wife. You see, we NEED that time every night to just talk without letting LIFE get in the way! Doesn't every husband and wife need that time?
AMEN?
1 Peter 3:7

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

I cannot emphasize  enough the importance of daily time with your spouse and with God. We always have time to watch our favorite TV shows, or post on social media or read a book but are we doing enough with our wive's/husband's? And if we are, are we spending that time together wisely? Or does it feel like an obligation of do you lose things to talk about? When you bring God into your conversation and apply HIS works to your life, there is never a moment of silence, there is no feeling of obligation, you are now spending you TIME wisely. You see, there are many scriptures in the bible that tells us God wants spouses to be together. To spend time together. To pray together and to parent together. In most verses, TOGETHER is the main topic!

Ephesians 5:28
28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Ephesians 5:31

31 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

Now tonight, I will be bible studying with Kim on the following verse:

1 Timothy 2:12

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. (Just kidding Kim)

The moral of today's story is LOVE YOUR WIFE. Don't forget that our wive's need us! We are the men of the house! Just because we are home with them doesn't mean we are WITH them? AMEN?

Song of the day: Love walked In by Mark Schultz

Bible Verse of the day: Ephesians 5:33
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Have an amazing day everyone. Call or text if you need me!

Day 55 - The Passion

Good morning everyone....how we doing today? I feel amazing. I have a very busy day at work so I woke up at 5am and got to work by 6 so I could write this blog. It starts my day off right writing about our Lord and Savior and what he is doing in our lives.
I believe they are no such thing as coincidences, only God encounters. So Tuesday night at prayer Lew was looking at Mya and his heart was softened. The way he mentioned it to me the next morning is that his heart was breaking for Mya and he was praying for her all night and the following morning so much that he had to call me first thing and talk to me about it. He just felt she was going through something and needed prayer and needed more Jesus in her life. What he didn't know was that a couple days earlier Mya was upset and was thinking of quiting the High School dance team because the 4 freshman she met before school started and became friends with were not talking to her and she didn't know why. This was really bothering her.
So I picked her up from school yesterday after dance and she got in the car and I was ready to listen to speech about quiting and instead she tells me that 2 of the girls were talking with her. There was a misunderstanding and now they are BFF's! LOL.
Then I asked her about school and she mentioned that she had a meeting with the Guidance Counselor like most freshman do to go over their work load and activities. She was then asked what is your #1 goal to accomplish this year at St John Vianney and she responded, "To start a bible study with other students!" WOW....AMEN? What most people don't know is that even in public schools, they cannont keep God out of the schools. If a student does to the principal and asks to start a group like a bible study, by law they are not allowed to deny them. Isn't that amazing? You mean the youth can beat society and what it tells us and bring Christ into school? YES!
I got home last night just in time for dinner with everyone at the table. It was Ty's turn to pray. He spent most of the day writing it down because he wanted to make sure he didn't leave anyone out. It was so cute and so personal. After a long day and a great dinner that my wife prepared, I was ready to put on the PJ's and watch some TV because Kim and Mya were going out for a couple hours. And watching the boys is simple, they either play their IPADS or XBOX at night before bed. But Lucas asked if I could take him to gamestop to buy the new FIFA 14 soccer game with his gift cards. As much as I didn't want to go, I put the three boys in my car and off we went. In the car Ty asked a question about God and the earth. So I thought about my post yesterday and pulled up my bible app and said let's see what the bible says about God and how the earth is created. Perfect, let's start with Genesis chapter 1, from the beginning. We went through the first 3 days of creation before we got to the store. We ran into the store, got the game and got back in the car in under 4 minutes. This is a miracle. Usually the boys can spend a half hour looking at games, playing the systems in the store but today they wanted to hear more about God! AMEN?
So on the way home we finished bible studying up to creation of man! They asked a million questions after ever day God created something new and I explained everything. They totally got it! The last question before we got out of the car came from TY. He said, "Dad, how can anyone NOT believe in God?" Great question from an 8 year old! My only answer was, "Because they don't know him or want to know him and it's your job to make him know!" He said, "Why wouldn't everyone want to hear the amazing things that he created?" Now....this is only after 7 days of creation in the bible. I can't wait to bible study with them everyday! AMEN?
So I put the twins to bed at 8pm and turned on The Passion of Christ. Lucas was sitting on the couch with me and even though there are some really gruesome scenes in the movie, I felt he needed to see it. Hearing about the death of Jesus is on thing, but seeing it is another. I had to help narrate a little in the beginning so he understood who was who and what was happening. Then came the part where he was beaten and tortured. I'm listening to Lucas say, "Oh man, Ouch, Oh my Gosh!" Then I look over and he's crying. I asked him if he's ok and he said yes, I just can't believe they would do that to Jesus. He was crying for Jesus! So of course, I started crying. LOL
At the end of the movie we talked about it and now Lucas GETS IT! He kissed me goodnight and said it was the best movie he's ever seen and tonight he's not praying for himself but instead praying FOR Jesus! Amen?
So if you are going through a tough time in your life, if you feel like someone is betraying or lying to you, or you feel like no one is there for you, or you feel like the world is beating you down, or your sick or injured, just think about what the Son of God, Jesus Christ went through for us. Then thank Him and praise Him!
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

Bible Verse of the Day: 1 John 3:16
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

Have a blessed day everyone. My 501(3c) Charity is up and running! "Time for Action"! Our mission is basic: to help those in need! Inspired by the books of Acts stating it is more blessed to give than to receive. If you are interested in learning more or donating, let me know. We take money donations and clothing and other items. The website will be up soon!

Day 54 - Are We Failing?

Hello and Good morning blog readers. I pray that everyone has an amazing day today and spends some time talking with Jesus! Amen?
Gonna get right into it this morning: Are we failing our youth? Are we failing as parents? These questions have been weighing on my heart for some time now. It society winning over Jesus? Is peer pressure and the fear of getting made fun of keeping our youth away from God? Why is it so easy for our kids to say Jesus, God, Holy spirit at home? Why is it so easy for our kids to pray at home with us or at the dinner table? Why are today's youth afraid to talk about God to their friends? Why do they wear one mask at home and then take that mask off at school? How can we allow our kids the latest technologies without setting rules and guidelines about their posts, tweets, instagrams and all of those other apps? Do we not have the time? Are we failing? I believe we are!
I believe the main reason our youth is AFRAID to talk about Jesus to their friends because we are not giving them enough of it at home! Is saying a prayer before dinner enough? Is listening to one or two worship songs a day sufficient? NO! We are failing as parents!
I come to work everyday and talk to Men of God for inspiration and prayer on my way to work. I read the bible during the day. I listen to worship music all day. I talk about God to my employees and to my clients. I have bible verses tattooed on my arms so that I am reminded every minute of everyday to do not be afraid and that Christ lives IN me. From 6am to 5pm my whole day is revolved around walking in the footsteps of Christ. But when I get home, alot of that goes away. Life gets in the way. I make the time at work to praise God and get to know him better, how come I'm not making that same time at home to teach my kids?
You see, our youth today looks up to people. They idolize celebrities & Singers, they thrive on hoe many likes they get on a facebook comment or an Instagram photo. But when making those comments, are they comments or photos that are pleasing to GOD? Do you know? Do you check? And if they aren't pleasing to GOD, is it talked about and are they punished?
In the bible, when someone disobeyed God, they were punished. Not for a day, not for a month but for years. How would you like to walk aimlessly around the desert for 40 years because you did something wrong in God's eyes. But in today's society, when we punish our kids, we feel bad. We will take away their phone or other possessions and threaten them that they will lose it for a week. But let's be real, most of us give in and give that back to our children after a couple days. Why? Because we are worried that our children will be outcasts by not having the latest technology and being punished will get them made fun of at school.
Is bringing our children to church once a week and or prayer service giving them enough God? NO!!!!!
It is our job to not only lead by example but to lead them to GOD every minute of everyday. If we fill our youth with Jesus, they will not be afraid to say his name in school. They will not make an ungodly comment on social media, they will not disobey their parents, and they will start to lead by example and others will follow. AMEN?
So what time is it? "TIME FOR ACTION"! In the book of ACTS 20:35 it is stated that "It is more blessed to give than to receive!" Now most people will think that this has to do with only money! WRONG!!!!!
It is time to give our Youth JESUS! We have received Him already and it's amazing. Now it's our job to be blessed to GIVE THEM JESUS!!!!
It's time for action. Time for family bible studies, (Thanks Lew), time for inviting friends over to hear about this awesome being called God! Time to ACT in a Godly manner anywhere, anytime with anybody! Who cares if we get made fun of? Kids get made fun of every day for their clothes, their hair, their pimples, their actions. And because of this, more and more kids are cutting themselves, taking drugs, committing sexual acts, and even suicide. This is why we are failing!!!! If Jesus was in their hearts and the Holy spirit was in their body and God was protecting them all day, then what could do wrong? What can anyone say to hurt such man or girl? The only thing that could go happen is that hundreds, thousands, millions would follow. People will be saved. People will come to know and love God and this world will be a better place. We are living in a messed up society with poor priorities and yet we concentrate on helping and saving the youth to change the future. But the future must start with us, we need to be better role models. We need to do a better job at GIVING OUR YOUTH Jesus. And that can only be done if we put aside some of our life choices and priorities. It all starts with us! If we want to change the youth, we have to change ourselves and our ways! There's always MORE time in the day for GOD! We no longer live, But Christ lives in us. Let's remember this and spend less time on ourselves and more time learning the word of the Lord and teaching it to our youth. They are thirsty, they will follow, they just need to be led. So I ask you, will you LEAD? Will you change your life to better the lives of our Youth? Will you take a half hour of your own personal time per day and change a child's life? I will! I will! God said, "Who will go" and I said, "Here I am, send me!"

BIBLE QUOTE OF THE DAY:  Joshua 24:15
15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Day 53 - Christ Softens Our Hearts!

Good morning my friends. I just got to work and finished my prayer and worship for this morning and I have a few moments to share what's on my mind on weighing heavy on my heart today.
I received a phone call this morning from a family I have been helping out in the Lakewood area. They are still going through tough times. I just found out their electric was shut off this morning and he can't afford to turn it back on. Since the kids have no lights, how do they do their homework? How do they cook? How can they listen to worship songs? My heart is heavy because through some recent donations we were able to provide clothes for the kids and help with the security deposit for the new apartment. He reached out to me this morning not asking for money but for prayer. He knows God will provide. So I'm asking today if you could pray for this family. Pray for family unity in tough times, financial success, strength and for God to show them mercy. After I write this blog, I will call him and pray with him and encourage him through Christ.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

God softens our hearts everyday for many different reasons. Sometimes for forgiveness, sometimes for love, sometimes to give, and also to receive.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

This is the man I am speaking of. He lives and works for his children. He is a Christian but his children are not yet following Christ. We pray for that everyday. His wife left him to defend on his own and take care of the kids. He has a tough job about of him. But he realized that through Christ all things are possible.

I got this tattoo yesterday as a constant reminder that I do not live any longer as the man I used to be. Christ lives IN me. That the life I know live if for Jesus who loves me and died on the cross for my sins, for you sins, for all who believes!

My 501c3 Charitable Organization will be operational by the end of this week. It is called "Time for Action"!
This was inspired by the book of ACTS 20:35!

Acts 20:35
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

My mission is simple: It is now to to take action. To go and spread the word. To help other in need through the blessing of giving, they will be lead to Christ! Shouldn't this be everyone's mission?
At Christmas time around the tree with your kids or your family, do you get more joy watching other open the gifts you picked out for them or receiving those gifts. It's nice to receive, but so much better to give. And if you can give for the Kingdom of God, then both parties will be truly blessed! AMEN?

SONG OF THE DAY: Give me Faith by Elevation Worship

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAYMatthew 5:42
Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

Have a blessed day everyone. Call on me if you need anything!

Day 52 - Meaningful lyrics to songs that help me get through everyday!

Good morning everyone. I had a blast at our party last night so thanks to everyone who showed up!

I get asked pretty often how to keep God in my life every minute of every day. For me, it's an easy answer. First is prayer. You can NEVER pray enough.
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Second is Praise! You can NEVER praise God enough!
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!

Third is Worship through song! You can NEVER worship enough!
( This is my favorite and my daily reminder of God every minute of every day. On my computer, in my headphones, in my car and in my house. ALWAYS! )
“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.

Sometimes in my office I hear a song and immediately stop what I am doing and just say WOW! Most of the songs I listen to are from Christian artists. But I also find great lyrics to relate to my life or to God through all music. You just need to listen to the words! Following are some of my favorite lyrics from some of my favorite songs.

  • Farther Along by Josh Garrells - "Temped and Tried, I wondered why, The good man dies, the bad man thrives and Jesus cries because he loves them both!"
  • All I Am by Phil Wickham - "I give you all my life, I'm letting it go, A living sacrifice no longer my ow, All I am is Yours!"
  • Lord I Need You by Chris Tomlin - "Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more, Where grace is found is where You are, And where You are Lord I AM FREE, Holiness is Christ in me!"
  • I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe - "Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still? Will I stand in your presence or the my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all? I CAN ONLY IMAGINE!"
  • Tug of War by Andy Mineo - "It's so clear and now it's painfully apparent, That I can't have my sin and Savior they're not for sharing! ANYTHING THAT I LOSE TO FOLLOW YOU IS NOT A LOSS!"
So through song, friends, prayer, praise and always remembering that it's Christ first, I can keep him in my life every minute of every day and live the life HE wants me to live! So if you wanna join me, I have one last song. It's not a Christian song, and one you probably wouldn't think I listen to. But the clean version and the lyrics are amazing. So if you're ready...here we go....who can guess the song?..........

"I'm not afraid to take a stand,
Everybody, come take my hand.
Will walk this road together Through the storm,
What ever weather
Just letting you know, You're not alone,
Holla if you feel like You've been down the same road!"

This is the song I listened to 53 days ago! Now's here's the part where I decided to change my life!

"And I just can't keep living this way
So starting today
I'm breaking out of this cage
I'm standing up to face my demons
I'm manning up
I'ma hold my ground
I've had enough Now I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now!

As always, thanks for listening to me ramble on! Our God is an amazing God. And let me make this perfectly clear: My intentions are not to convert anyone to Christianity. If you are a Catholic or any other religion and may have lost your relationship with God or your church, I'm trying to inspire you to find YOUR GOD! It is so important to have Christ in our lives! In Christ alone my hope is found, he is my light, my strength, my song......my comforter, my all in all! So today, here in the love of Christ I stand!

Day 51 - Alive Again Church and Party!

What an amazing day we had today! Started the day waking up at 6:00am and spending the morning in the backyard praising God and praying for a couple hours. Then we were off the Alive Again Church for out Sunday Service. The Holy Spirit really filled my body today through prayer, worship, sermon and fellowship.
We left service and got the house ready for our fellowship gathering at our house. Around 4:00 is when the first family showed up and it was a revolving door ever since. Had to be at least 30-35 people at the house. We watched the football games, we ate great food, we played the piano and sang, we sat in the backyard as a group and talked, we listened to music and we ended the night by the fire. Before leaving, everyone pitched in cleaning up the house as a church family unit! By 9:00 the kids were showered and in bed, the house was clean and Kim and I are relaxing.
There was no booze, no cursing, just good old fashioned Christian fun. I believe we threw a party the way Jesus would have had a party! Amen?

Sorry for the short post, just overwhelmed from a wonderful day with my wonderful church family!!!! Not much more I can say than God is Great. Just another day that HE showed up in our lives and gave us a perfect day....just like HE is perfect.

Bible Quote of the Day: 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

DAY 50 - WOW TIME FLIES!

Good early morning everyone. Todays post might be quick because I'm at the golf course getting ready to play. Please pray for patience, and understanding for our team today. We are 2 points out of first and have two matches today and can possibly win...That is if God allows us to! We are playing for his honor today.
Yesterday was a grinding round of golf. I played horrible, then Pat played horrible. But when we both started to get frustrated, I asked if I could pray for our team, and he said yes. After that, we caught fire. Jumped from last place to second. He texted me this morning to let me know he already was praying for today. But not to win, praying for playing the way that we know how to play and the rest is up to God.
You see, after praying he had a lot of questions about my past 50 days. He was intrigued. He is a married man with a stressful job and twin 2 yr old girls at home. He couldn't believe that I barely picked up my phone all day yesterday and was wondering how I do it. I told him priorities.
I will always pick up the phone from Kim or the kids but everything else could wait. I was there with him as a guest and he deserved my full attention.
We started to listen to my Christian playlist in the cart and more and more questions arose. After the round, we sat out back alone and talked about Christ and how awesome it is when you fully commit yourself and family to Him! He wants to continue the conversation today after going home last night to talk to his wife about how much I have changed and have become a man of God!
We will see how God will work in our lives today, but at least Pat is now constantly thinking about God! Amen?

Feeling good today knowing I will be home with my family tonight. Lucas hurt his leg really bad during travel soccer and the doctor said yesterday he can't do anything for 2 weeks. He had middle school tryouts the past few days and really pushed himself. Came home crying everyday saying he could barely kick the ball but knew all his friends would make the team. So he played through the pain and gave it his best and left it up to God. Me and Kim were preparing for the crying talk about not making the team due to injury when he came home from school saying he made the team. Awesome! He deserves it, he is such a good person and a child of God. He prays all the time. He is thirsting for Jesus in his life.

Tomorrow is our "Alive Again" church party at our house. I am really looking forward to awesome fellowship and great times! I will be up early setting up games, food, tables and a few surprises. We are hoping to have around 40 people to enjoy the day with us.

Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

On a side note, I am surrounded this weekend with guys who are really partying, with every drug, alcohol and sinful acts. Not on the course, but afterwords. So I have taken myself out of every one of those situations. Instead of staying at the club until midnight like everyone else, I am in the hotel room by 7:00 talking to the family, or watching a movie. A LONG 50 days ago this would have been a different story! God is Amazing.

Day 49 - My Wife Kim!

Good Morning Everyone....looks like God is going to give us another gorgeous day. Yesterday was my practice round getting ready for today's and tomorrow's member member tournament in NY at Trump Golf Course. It was a fun day and I was at the hotel asleep by 9pm and wide awake a 4am.
Day 49 marks the first day I have been away from my wife for more than 24 hours in the past month and a half. I miss her. You see, for the past 3 years, even though were together, we really were apart. Our conversations were rare and we did what we needed to do to get by. But these past 49 days our relationship is better than it's ever been in the past 20 years. We have date night once a week, we sit down as a family for dinner, we sit on the back patio at night just to talk and we are open and completely honest with each other. We are living a marriage that God would be proud of because of mutual respect. Do I feel guilty for being away for personal reasons for 3 days? Yes! But at the same time, whenever the phone rings and I see her name I pick it up to talk and vice versa. No matter where we are, what we are doing we always make time for each other. Last night I called her before I went to bed and we talked about the day, we talked about our feelings and we talked about how much we love each other. At the end of the conversation, Kim said, "It is so nice talking with you!" I said, "I feel the same way!" And she responded, "No, IT IS SO NICE TALKING TO YOU!" We both said I love you and got off the phone. I'm sure she was teary eyed like I was after that call because we both know that through Christ our love is growing more than anyone could even imagine! It's Amazing and wonderful all at the same time.
In the years past when I was away, I would text my wife at the end of the day and just say Love you and she would respond the same. Yesterday, 20 minutes into my trip I texted her "I miss you already!" She texted back that she was thinking the same thing. A couple hours later I was thing of her and sent her this:
Ephesians 5:25-28
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

She responded by saying that is written perfect for us. In reality, it's not written just for us! It's written for all married couples. We have realized that if we live the family life as the Bible tells us to, as Jesus want's us to, and how God plans us to, that we will be blessed with love and overwhelming happiness every day of our lives. Amen?

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

The reason I love this verse is for the very first line: Love is patient and kind! Kim's love for me was always there. We hit a stumbling block in our life journey 3 years ago. Instead of running and hiding, she was patient. She was angry with me, rightfully so, but her love didn't go away....she was patient. She waited out the storm. Our love is now "Rejoicing with the truth"! Our Love for each other has "Endured All Things"!

I can honestly say that God has saved our marriage. It wasn't the changes I made in my life, it wasn't the constant "Working" on our relationship, it was God being patient with me and giving Kim the patience to wait out the storm fully knowing our lives would be changed for ever. I love my wife! I love the mother she is, the grandmother she will be and the most understanding wife a man could ask for. My wife is a women of God! And because of that, my children are following our lead and are walking with Jesus every day. What can be better? AMEN?

So today, if you are married, hug your wife, kiss your wife, tell your wife you love her and let her know that God sent her to you and it's your job to be the Man of God and take care of your household the way God intended it to be. Remember, A man who loves his wife loves himself and through Christ you will grow in love through faith, prayer and praise! Amen?

Day 48 - Prayer and Advice!

Gooooooood Morning Everyone! Two more works days for most and then it's the weekend. Let's not wait until Sunday to pray and thank the Lord for everything he is doing in our lives! Amen?
This morning I am leaving for a three day member guest tournament that my client invited me to in NY at Trump golf course. I have mixed feelings about going because I'm not completely caught up at work, I am leaving my family for three days and I'm feeling somewhat selfish. So I'm going to pray this morning.

Lord God, thank you for all the amazing things you are doing in my family's life. I pray that you continue to show your face and soften our hearts as we keep moving forward in Christ. I want to thank you for Billy Sagarase, Lord, for every morning he calls me and prays for me he fills me with the Holy Spirit through his words and lifts me up to you Lord. Almighty God I pray that while I am away from my family, my friends, my church for these next three days that you protect my house and my family. I pray that you build a stone wall around my house to keep out any evil spirits or thoughts trying to enter our home, your kingdom. Lord I pray that you give my wife the strength to handle the kids and the tasks at hand with grace, love and understanding. Lord please fill my house with the Holy Spirit so the kids will know that even though I am not there physically, that I am praying and thinking of them every minute of everyday. Lastly Lord I pray for guidance this morning. I pray that you use me as an example of a man of God so that everyone I encounter at this weekend's event will see something different about me and ASK what it is as I will tell them about you Lord! I will tell them about the miracles you have shown me, I will let them know that You God are the king of all kings, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End and that you sent your son to die on this earth to forgive our sins. That we are saved through you! Lord, I praise you this morning for showing your face to me everyday and leading me in the right direction on every decision that I make! Everything I have, everything I do is all for you! IT'S ALL YOURS FOR YOUR KINGDOM! I pray all this in Jesus name............AMEN!!!!

Finally, I need some help today from my fellow blog reader's! I am opening a 501 (3C) Charitable Organization so that I can collect donations, goods and services to help others in need. I need some idea's for names. I would love the name to mean something. I forget what this is called so maybe my teachers can help me out with this. It's when a word like BIBLE means something from the letters of the word.
BIBLE ( Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth).
Good words to use could be: Smile, Believe, Hope, Faith, Guide, Help and so on! Any thoughts would be much appreciated. You can comment here. You can email me at Scottowel@aol.com, you can text me at 732-995-4416 or you can call me to talk about it!

Thanks for you help, I promise I will update everyday I am away! Remember, Share Share Share......The average readers of this blog is going down!!! How is that possible????? We need to share God's word everyday to everyone.

Day 47 - Helping Other!

Good morning everyone! You know what today is? It's Hump day! Woo hoo!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWBhP0EQ1lA

This morning I feel totally blessed and feel the Holy Spirit all around my office today as soon as I walked in. Normally I look at my busy schedule and start to stress out, but not today. I think it's because last night at prayer I finally figured out what God's plan is for me. And that plan is to help others! Now, this is very broad so I will try and break it down.
1 - Since God has been showing me miracles for the past 47 days, he has also blessed my accounting and financial planing practice. So they will be times where I can financially help out others in need. Just like I was able to do yesterday.
2 - Making daily phone calls to friends in need and ask them if they need prayer, a ride or simply anything. You'd be amazed how a simple phone call to a friend praying together will change your day.
3 - The youth is a big part of my ministry. I call it a ministry because I believe I AM SENT to lead these kids towards Christ. Whether it's through my actions, bible study, worship songs, or just being a really cool man of God that they look up to, I feel I can change their life.
4 - I am starting a charitable organization called Scott's Alive Again! Any monies raised or donations received will be tax deductible on your tax return. These monies will go towards my mission: To mentor the youth, clothe the needy, help anyone in desperate need, and to know God and make him known!

God spoke to me and told me something that a good friend of mine has been telling me for some time. He said," Scott, you are a world changer!" And you know what? Last night I realized this. I am changing the world, through my blog, through my actions, through my fellowship and all because I have opened my ears, eyes and heart fully to the Lord. I gave him All Of Me and will continue to do so the rest of the days of my life. The bible says:
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Now here's the amazing part! I am doing this for the Glory of God's Kingdom and for no other reason. In fact, the past few times I've helped others out, they didn't even know it came from me! I always leave a note or tell them it's from God! I want nothing in return other that to know that I am living the life like Christ had lived.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.
Wow...amazing quote here. If you are generous to the poor you are lending to the lord. God wants us to help others. This quote tells us that helping the poor is God's flesh through man on earth is providing for the needy that God can not physically do, only spiritually and he will repay us for our deeds! Amen?

God has changed me and my family in so many amazing ways that it would be dishonest to the Lord not to obey his commands from above! God asked me if I would Go and I said Yes! At the time I said yes quietly but now I'm screaming it from the mountain tops! I AM SENT......I AM READY.....And by doing so God will show his face, heart, and grace to all that come in contact with me. He has filled me with the Holy Spirit that's it's almost impossible to know that God is sitting next to me when I am with you! Open your hearts, open your eyes, open your minds and seek out the Lord. He has sent his son to earth to forgive your sins so that you can repent and live the life you were meant to live. The life of Christ.

My vision of the charitable organization is easy:
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

I have laid my burdens at the foot of the cross and God has breathed new life into me without any worries. So if you cannot accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart yet, lay your burdens on me! I will bring them to the Lord, the King of All Kinds, the Alpha & Omega, the Beginning and the End! And using me as a man of god, he will help me lift your burdens!

Have a blessed day everyone. Please share my blog to everyone!!!! Let's change the world together!!!!!

Day 46 - Quick, short and to the point! It's late!

9:35 and it's the latest I have ever posted and I am tired from a long day. So I'm going to summarize my day today as fast as I can and tomorrow's post will be much better! Here we go:
Left for Delaware last night to sleep over to meet a client this morning. Met an amazing Christian who checked me into the hotel. Had great conversation and she is now following my blog. Thank you for the amazing and kind words from last night! It is not only a reflection on yourself, but your wonderful hotel.
Woke up at 5:00 this morning to drive to the beach to reflect with the Lord and watch the amazing sunrise. Billy called me on the way and prayed for me and really filled me with the holy spirit.
Went to my clients, played the piano, showed them my blog, talked about God, the room was filled with the Holy Spirit and they didn't even want to see my presentation. Instead, they said, "We know your faith and the man you are so we trust you completely and give us the applications and let's move forward.
Driving home called my dad and brother and told them about my meeting.
Talked with Lew and he mentioned a family in need in Lakewood that the father cannot pay the rent and but school clothes for his kids at the same time. Told him to pay the rent. Called my dad and brother and explained and asked them to donate to the cause. They did. Between the 3 of us we raised $700 to clothe 3 high school kids.
Went to Kohl's with Mya and spoke to the manager explaining how we were spending the money for a cause. She agreed to give us 30% off our entire purchase and pay no sales tax and taxable items.
Total bill was $1034.00 and after the discount was $734.00. Amazing. Checked out by a Christian worker who asked about Isaiah 6:8 and said she would check out the website www.iamsent.net.
Came home and met the family and went to prayer night at Pastor Bill's and prayed for the sick and those in need. Then the Holy Spirit filled the room during praise.
Talked about announcements and now I'm in front of the computer ready for bed!

ANNOUNCEMENT: Barbeque this Sunday starting at 4:00pm at our house. Invite, Invite, Invite! Food, games, contests, prayer, worship, fellowship, madden, football and fun for all! Be there or be square. Address: 35 Streambank Drive, Freehold, NJ 07747. Phone 732-995-4416. Please respond either by text or by under this blog so I can get a head count for food!

Bible Verse of the day: Acts 4:31
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Time to cuddle with the wife and kiss the kids goodnight! Sorry for the short post, but it's a nice break from the novels I write everyday!

Praise our Lord Jesus Christ and may God Bless you all!

Day 45 - Who Will Go?

Happy Monday evening everyone. Again, late post as work and life got in the way today. But I'll tell you something, I woke up this morning with the Holy Spirit in my body. If you haven't tried it, you should get on the train cuz it's one heck of a ride. Maybe it was from the amazing church service yesterday, or maybe because God is surrounded in my house, my wife, my kids, my office and my life. But today was different, I feel more like a man of God today then I have ever felt before!!! Amen?? No.....Hallelujah!!!!!
Isaiah 6:8
And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

I have been wearing this bracelet on my wrist and handing them out to people who I believe needs to know Christ for the past 30 days. But today was different, I thought to myself, what does this mean? Who will go? Here I am.....send me! Send me where?
Everyday we are sent. I am sent to work. My wife is sent food shopping. Our kids are sent to school. Some are sent to detention!!!! Others are sent to football practice, or soccer or any other sport. But why are we being sent? Because our parents say so? Because our coaches tell us too? Because life tells us what needs to be done? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Not in this house!

God specifically asked my family, "Will you go for me?" And we all COMMITTED to Him by saying, "HERE I AM, SEND ME! Send me out into this world to let others know about Jesus. To let others see the changes we have all made in our lives to follow Christ! And it is happening!!! I see it more know than ever!

I AM SENT to work everyday and everyone I encounter see a change in me. And if they ask what is different, I tell them......I am filled with the Holy Spirit. I am walking next to Jesus and I AM SENT here to tell you about him. Now I'm not the up in your face Jesus preacher but you will know that my life is all about Christ. You see it all over my office. You see it all over my house. You see it in ME!

Ty, Brayden, Lucas & Mya were asked if they will go and they agreed YES......SEND ME!!!!! Mya has more confidence in school. She is talking with Lew about starting a bible study at St John Vianney! SHE IS SENT!!!!!
Lucas prays to God before bed and listens to songs about God and isn't afraid to tell his friends that he scored that winning goal because he asked for God. He convinced his friends who were afraid to go on roller coasters to walk on with no fear and they did. He led them. Why? HE IS SENT!!!!!!
The other night I made a rule that we needed to pray before our family dinners. I started the other day. When I came home from work today everyone was at the dinner table and Brayden said it's my turn to pray! Why? HE IS SENT!!!!!!
Ty no longer listens to the TOP 40 that the world listens too. He has memorized almost every song we sing at church and opened his mind to new Christian artists and sings these songs everywhere he goes. No matter who is around! Why? HE IS SENT!!!!!
Kim sits with me and we talk about our life and how great it is with God leading the way. We read the bible sometimes together. She prays all the time. She goes to church, prayer group and has even thought about volunteering in the nursery at church! Why? SHE IS SENT!!!!!

Yes we have our normal activities to do on a daily basis but we are not sent there, we choose to do those things. We are SENT everywhere we go with one thing on our mind......To Know God and Make Him Known!!! AMEN??? I mean, isn't that what this blog is about anyway????

So I challenge all of you that read this post, I am asking you.....WILL YOU GO???? Will you go and share this blog to 1 friend? 5 friends? All you friends???? Who wants to be sent??????

Song of the day: Hello My Name Is......by Matthew West!

Bible Verse Of The Day:  John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

Have a great evening everyone! And remember, I can see the stats of how many people read this blog.....So will you share? Will you go?

Day 44 - The Day of Rest!

Good evening everyone. Sorry I didn't write sooner but after an amazing church service this morning and then going to directly to Lucas's soccer game, we came home to watch some football and I fell asleep on the couch. Yes, the Giants are THAT boring to watch.
This morning our church Alive Again visited a church in Long Branch called Searchlight church. The worship team was awesome and the pastor gave a great sermon. It was basically about our mission in life. What is our mission? We all have a mission sometimes whether it's trying to get work done, clean the house or shopping. Haven't we all said at when time, "Man, I'm on a mission today"?
But is that the mission that God wants us to have? I don't believe so.
I took many notes from his sermon today and reflected a lot on these notes. They might be jumbled around in different order but here's the gist of what I got out of this morning's message.
Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. God listens to our prayers and if we truly believe what we are praying then most of the times they will be answered. If you have received Christ in your life then your mission is simple: Found people find people!!!!! Go out and make Him known.
What is a mission? A mission either defines success or failure, plain and simple. When you do XMAS shopping for that one important item, you are on a mission. Sometimes you succeed in finding that and sometimes you don't. There is no in between.
When I think about my mission, I realize that my mission from God is to write. To write this blog about my life so people can take some part of it and apply it to there life. I have already witnessed people being brought closer to God because of this blog. I know there is something else I should be doing, but I haven't figured that out yet. All I know is on my day of reckoning, when I stand before the Lord, I wanna hear, "Job well don't Scott, you may enter!"
All I can say to you is to truly listen through prayer and conversation with God and try and find your mission. It's pretty simple when you think about it. Just model yourself after Jesus. Jesus was God on a mission.
Luke 19:10
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” This was Jesus's mission. And he followed it according to God and never was off his mission! He focused on his goal: Come to earth, preach the gospel and die on the cross for our sins. Could you imagine what our lives would be like if he didn't complete his mission?
Sometimes we are being pulled away from our mission. Perhaps at school, or work or because what others tell us or think of us. NEVER lose sight of your mission.
Matthew 16:22-24
22 And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord![a] This shall never happen to you.” 23 But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance[b] to me. For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”
Jesus actually called Peter Satan!!!!! Because Peter was trying to pull Jesus away from his mission!
He knew Peter was thinking of himself rather than God. This also shows that Jesus will die for his church! And doesn't that happen to all of us from time to time. When things are going well, we think we are doing it all ourselves???? We are never doing anything ourselves! Amen?
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Jesus is telling us what our mission should be. Important thing to remember here, we don't go to the church, WE ARE THE CHURCH! Every minute of everyday. Just because you couldn't make Sunday Service to gather with your friends and worship the Lord doesn't mean you have to wait till next week. Call a friend, read the bible, talk to someone about Jesus. We are the church.....we just meet in a gathering place every Sunday.

Lastly, every man and women has felt inadequate. All that means is that you are feeling like you can't do something. Excuses, oh that's too hard or I know I can't do that! How do you know? Through Christ ALL things are possible. AMEN?
We are all inadequate because we need more of the Holy Spirit in our bodies. Why is ok for everyone to talk about God? God bless you, God worked miracles today in our life. I hear it all the time. But ever notice that we are sometimes afraid to say JESUS? People usually look around to see who's listening and start to say "Thank you J.E.S.....I mean thank God! Why??? Because we are missing the third part. We need more of the Holy Spirit in our lives and body. Amen?
Acts 1:1-8
In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
And while staying[a] with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

You see, Jesus ordered his disciples to wait for the promise of the father God not to yet depart to Jerusalem. But they questioned him about his time, saying will you do this now? And His response was simple, "It is not for you to know times or seasons that our God has fixed by his authority."
Why did they question the word of Jesus? Because they needed more of the Holy Spirit and more of God's power.

We need God's power! We need it for the following to find our mission in life:
1 - To Abandon our current mission. ( Would Jesus be happy with your current mission?)
2 - Accept God's mission for us. (If you don't know it, just pray and ask Him for your mission)
3 - Live our mission. (Don't let Satan get in the way of your mission)
4 - Endure the mission. (Jump in feet first and love every minute of it....Its a great ride!)

I hope you all learned a little something from me today that I learned from someone new! I love you all. Monday tomorrow.....but if you went to service, you should wake up full of the Holy Spirit and ready to tackle the week! If you don't feel that way, call me......I'll help! Oh and by the way, Congrats to Lucas and his team for winning 5-1 against and undefeated team who won last week 7-0. Lucas scored and pointed his hands in the air as to say thanks to God!!! Amen????

Where do blessings come from? Song of the day: Blessing by Laura Story

Bible Verse of the day: Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[c] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Have an amazing and blessed week! Love you all!
